Emergency Services & Preparedness
The Opasatika volunteer firefighting service is responsible for fighting building fires (outside only).
In the event of an emergency, call 911.

Stay calm and be prepared to provide details about what is happening, your location, your name, your address, and your phone number.

An emergency response plan has been implemented pursuant to the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act in order to be able to react to a variety of disasters. The emergency plan provides instructions to the intervening Township staff in the event of an emergency. These instructions are intended to be an integral part of the ongoing planning, training, drill, and trial process for the Township’s emergency management plan.
Information about fire awareness is regularly sent out to Opasatika residents in the form of a newsletter and Facebook posts.
