The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) manages the water treatment plant, the water distribution system, and the sewer system.
Beyond the village limits, septic tanks are required and managed by the Porcupine Health Unit.

There are several laws and regulations in force to ensure drinking water quality and to protect the environment.
 

The operating costs for the water and sewer systems are examined and reviewed yearly by the municipal council. Usage costs are included in property tax statements.
