Public works is responsible for carrying out all required maintenance on all municipal infrastructure.

 

The Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Roads found in provincial regulations determine the required road maintenance based on daily vehicular traffic.

7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

 

 

Winter maintenance

For safety reasons, please do not put snow on sidewalks, municipal roads, or in front of fire hydrants when clearing your entranceway. The township will have to invoice you for the extra snow clearing work.

 

The Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, art. 181, specifies that “No person shall deposit snow or ice on a roadway without permission in writing so to do from the Ministry or the road authority responsible for the maintenance of the road.”
