Cemetery

The cemetery is open to visitors from 7:30 a.m. to sunset. Note that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, and dogs or other pets must be leashed in the cemetery..

Burial rights

Please see the price list below. Note that care and maintenance costs are mandatory.

Non-residents of Opasatika must pay the cost determined by the Town of Kapuskasing scale.

 

A Certificate of Burial Rights will be issued only once all debts have been settled and all costs paid.

 

Please note that burials are not possible between November 15 and May 15 inclusive. For more information, contact the municipal office.

Gravestone

A maximum of one monument per lot is allowed. A flat stele may be placed at ground level at each tombstone.

 

Any person seeking to purchase or build a special monument or stone must provide the township with a plan or detailed description before ordering the monument, stele, or stone.
